
Darla Miazdyck is Connect13’s brand consultant, partnering on various youth research and brand development initiatives. She also works with our advertisers, helping them craft strategically sound, category convention breaking, buzz worthy communication, relevant to youth and the social media space.
Darla is an advertising veteran working as a creative strategist at top ranking advertising agencies in both the US and Canada. Throughout her advertising career she has created award winning campaigns and gained national attention for global and national brands including Wal-Mart US, Hanes, Barely There, ING DIRECT, Expedia, NASCAR, Napster, The Learning Channel (TLC), Miller Genuine Draft -- just to name a few. While Darla brings a broad range of category experience - ranging from beer, to bras, to banking; she has spent a significant portion of her career working with teen-targeted brands, primarily in the social media category.
Darla has an Honors Master’s Degree in Advertising from the BrandCenter- Virginia Commonwealth University, USA. In 2007, she won the prestigious Jay Chiat Award for Strategic Excellence (APG Award), for her creative strategy for the bra brand Barely There.
When she is not transforming businesses, she is keeping up on celebrity gossip, designing jewelry, and adding to her ever-growing collection of shoes.
